Davide Borelli

Davide is a leading privacy and technology lawyer with extensive experience across global regulation, enforcement, and governance. A member of the European Data Protection Board’s Support Pool of Experts, he contributes legal and technical insight to strengthen privacy supervision across the EU. He has previously held senior privacy roles at X and Meta, advising on global data protection and regulatory strategy. He is currently Data & Technology Counsel at Freshfields and lectures on data protection law in Naples.

 


 

As part of the Lex Dinamica Advisory Panel, Davide brings cross-sector expertise in data, AI, and governance to guide the firm’s strategic direction.

Hellen Mukiri-Smith

Hellen is a lawyer and researcher focused on the governance of data, artificial intelligence, and emerging technologies. With more than a decade of experience across legal practice, policy, and academia, she has advised international organisations and governments on privacy, human rights, and AI regulation. At Amnesty International, she led global research on algorithmic accountability and data governance. She is currently a Lecturer in Law at Loughborough University, where her research explores law, technology, and social justice.

 

As part of the Lex Dinamica Advisory Panel, Hellen brings expertise in AI governance and digital rights to support the firm’s privacy and technology strategy.

Emily Jackson

Emily is a leading scholar in medical law, ethics, and the regulation of healthcare and biotechnology. Her research has shaped understanding of assisted reproduction, end-of-life decision-making, and the ethical dimensions of medical innovation. A Fellow of the British Academy and recipient of an OBE for services to higher education, she has also been Deputy Chair of the HFEA and a Judicial Appointments Commissioner.  She is currently Professor of Law at the London School of Economics and Political Science, and is chairing a Nuffield Council on Bioethics Working Group on neural organoids.

As part of the Lex Dinamica Advisory Panel, Emily brings deep expertise in regulatory governance to guide the firm’s strategy on privacy and emerging technologies.

Mariano delli Santi

Mariano is a policy and privacy expert specialising in data protection, AI regulation, and digital rights. His work focuses on how technology governance and legal frameworks shape democratic participation and individual freedoms. With experience across advocacy, research, and regulation, he has contributed to major initiatives on privacy, surveillance, and responsible innovation. He currently serves as Legal and Policy Officer at the Open Rights Group and has held roles with Volt Europa and Creating Future Us.

 

As part of the Lex Dinamica Advisory Panel, Mariano brings deep expertise in regulatory strategy and digital governance.

Johanna Düngler

Johanna is a PhD Fellow at the University of Copenhagen’s Department of Computer Science, where her research explores the relationship between privacy, robustness, and fairness in machine-learning systems. With a background in mathematics from ETH Zürich and professional experience as a data scientist, she brings both theoretical and practical understanding of AI and data-driven technologies.



As part of the Lex Dinamica Advisory Panel, Johanna contributes her expertise in trustworthy and responsible AI to support the firm’s forward-looking approach to privacy, technology, and data governance.
